  If the thought of joining our new paranormal investigations team, Paranorm UK appeals to you, then it may be a good idea to first read what exactly we're about and what kind of paranormal team we are.. Paranorm UK, formed in October 2010, is a paranormal team based in Lincolnshire. The team evolves around honesty, the open mindedness to collect evidence in all of it's forms, and the healthy skepticism to dismiss natural phenomena that could otherwise be attributited to paranormal activity. I suppose the above really contribute to one sole aim, and that is to find the truth of each case we are involved in; to discover whether the location is haunted, what form of haunting is taking place and why. To get to this conclusion being open minded is absolutely required. We want team members to collect evidence in all of it's forms so that we are able to analyse every little detail that everyone picks up, so that nothing is missed. To give you an idea of the various different kinds of evidence we are looking for, I'll explain each one; Firstly we have scientific and atmospheric based evidence, an area in which EMF and temperature fluctuations fall in. It's important to establish base line readings for atmospheric readings, to then be able to compare any anomolys later in the investigation. Any fluctuations reported, when natural caused are ruled out (such as the presence of electrical wires) can be an indication of paranormal activity. Whilst this evidence isn't particularily mindblowing alone, with another form of evidence it gains more credibility. For example, should someone claim to see a shaddow moving around in a certain area, and then temperature/EMF fluctuations are recorded in the same area, then the evidence seems to become more credible and certainly more interesting. Another form of evidence is to capture a supposed spirit on camera, either in stills or in motion. [The form in which the spirit can take varies; orbs, mists, and shaddows are all examples of forms, but all are also open to debate]. Evidence can also be picked up audibly on dictaphones or on the sound of camcorder recordings. This evidence is known as Electronic Voice Phenomena [Or EVP for short]. Dictaphones can be left recording whilst questions are asked out aloud to the spirits, answers can sometimes be heard on playback even though nothing was heard in real time. It is not known why this occurs. Sometimes when conducting seances or vigils, teams experience knocks, and bangs, this type of evidence again falls under the audible form. Kinetic or movement evidence is where objects move, seemingly without human interaction. Trigger object experiments attempt to provoke this reaction from spirits, in a controlled environment, often with the use of motion detectors. Movement of the glass in glass divination experiments could also be classed as kinetic evidence providing the possibility of human interaction had been ruled out [something that in this instance proves quite difficult.] Paranormal teams often use mediums or sensitives to attempt to gain evidence, whilst this form of evidence is not absolute proof for everyone, for some it proves an interesting way to gain evidence. With the help of a medium, the story of behind the haunting can become clear, which isn't possible with other forms of evidence gathering.
